in Latin America. Chinese firms are interested in a number of strategic minerals
including copper, iron ore, manganese, zinc, lead, and precious metals.
Copper is one of many examples that highlight China’s need. Other examples include
iron ore, manganese, nickel, lead and zinc (to name a few).
